About Hanady Farahat
Hanady spent seven years as a personal trainer before she ever wore an LC shirt — and like the best people here, she arrived as a patient first. She fell in love with what chiropractic and movement could do together, and never really left. Her favorite moment is a specific one: coaxing a patient through the exercise they're afraid of, then watching the relief on their face when they realize they could do it all along. She comes by that belief through family — when her dad was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, Hanady used her nutrition degree and training background to help him reverse it.To Hanady, Living Courageously means living life to its fullest extent without fear — and she practices what she preaches, having gone back to school to chase a new dream in radiography. Off the clock: new recipes, travel plans, reality TV, and an unshakable loyalty to koalas.
About Amber Wheeler
If it's your first day at LC, Amber is your person — she's the one walking new patients through day one, from x-rays to traction setup, making sure nobody ever feels lost. A Joliet native who grew up on travel softball and rugby, she studied kinesiology and managed a CVS before landing here. Funny thing: she'd never been to a chiropractor in her life. Now she's dreaming of becoming one.
Amber knows what transformation actually takes, because she watched it up close: her father committed to a two-year journey of diet and intense exercise and lost over 300 pounds. That kind of story doesn't leave you — it becomes your standard.
To Amber, Living Courageously means being comfortable with being uncomfortable — push to your furthest point and tweak the plan along the way. She's lived it too: first in her family tree to attend college, and after COVID cut her university years short, she went back four years later and finished her degree. Fuel for all of the above: Mike & Ikes, golf, and pasta.
About Paloma Singletary
A Joliet girl all her life, Paloma spent ten years in the restaurant business before her son Brady arrived and changed everything — she needed stability, her sister sent her a job application, and the rest is LC history. These days her favorite part of the job is the little wins: patients sharing their small victories, the connections that turn appointments into relationships. It runs in the family — her mom started her own chiropractic journey right here and never looked back, determined to keep adding life to her years. To Paloma, Living Courageously means living without limitations, the way God intended — and she has lived it, finding the courage to walk away from what dimmed her light and build the life she always dreamed of.Ask her about the wedding: she found her future husband right here at LC. Her joys: quiet morning coffee before anyone wakes, Aperol spritz, Reese's peanut butter cups, and randomly singing her sentences.
About Mikayla Dove
Mikayla came to LC looking for a new career with purpose – she’d always known she wanted to help people, and the moment she found this work, everything clicked. Her favorite part of the day is connecting with patients and hearing their stories, because she believes sometimes all a person really needs is someone who truly listens. She lives what she teaches too: since starting her own active chiropractic care, Mikayla says she feels healthier than she has in years – and it turned her into a believer long before it turned her into a team member. That spark even changer her path: after studying finance, she went back to school for radiology because of the love she found for this field right here at LC. To Mikayla, Living Courageously means living the life you want and need, with nothing holding you back. At home, you’ll find her with her two dogs, in the gym, in the kitchen, or doing nails – and this September, welcoming her baby girl.
About Makayla Kraus
Makayla joined the LC Dream Team in July of 2020! She graduated with her Associate in Science from Joliet Junior College in May of 2022, and she is currently a junior at Lewis University with a dual degree in Biology and Chiropractic!
Makayla hopes to become a chiropractor herself someday to show others just how important it is to live a chiropractic lifestyle 24/7!! She became passionate for chiropractic after realizing that her neck was completely backwards when she first began working at LC causing her a lot of health issues at only 21 years old. With lots of determination, she was able to fix her neck here at LC, and she was inspired to help others of all ages realize that there is hope for them to fix their own spines too.
About Katie Kozlowski
Katie got her first adjustment at seven years old — and she's been in the chiropractic world ever since, as a patient, a college athlete under a chiropractor's care, and since 2004, a professional in the field. Her plan, in her own words: finish her career right here at LC. She's the voice that greets you and the smile that remembers your name, and her favorite part of every day is the little personal connections with patients. She learned early that your body is the one thing you can't replace: when her father needed triple bypass surgery in 2023, the shape he'd kept himself in is what carried him through. Never take it for granted, she'll tell you. Courage? At 17 she walked into Redbird Arena at Illinois State, not knowing a single person, and earned her spot on a D1 volleyball team. To Katie, Living Courageously means believing that starting over doesn't mean failure — she rebuilt a life more honest, more fulfilling, and more beautiful because she fought so hard to create it. Home base: two amazing kids, Morgan and Reese, a spunky mini wiener dog named Beaux, a good book, and anything leopard print.
About Kaden Walz
Kaden grew up on the other side of this office — as a patient. His family came to LC for years, and somewhere along the way he decided he didn't just want adjustments, he wanted the career. Today he's part of the team, and his goal is chiropractic school with a 4.0 on the way in.His favorite part of the day? Talking with patients about their passions — what he calls their "why's" in life. And he comes by the belief honestly: his great-grandma broke her hip at 87 and recovered to do things she couldn't do before.Courage isn't a slogan for Kaden — he gave up football to work and save for college, because to him, Living Courageously means living so you won't regret the choices you made or didn't make. Off the clock you'll find him at the gym, at a concert, or hunting down something new to eat (cooking it or ordering it — he's not picky).
About Waleed Ahmad
Waleed's path to your rehab floor spans two continents. A Chicago kid, he watched his grandma go from unable to walk to walking unassisted after double knee replacement — and rehab stopped being a job and became a calling. He moved across the globe to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in Pakistan, then worked hospital outpatient rehab and post-op care in a trauma center before coming home. He's seen the LC combination work in his own family: after countless professionals couldn't resolve his mom's chronic neck and nerve pain, rehab and chiropractic care together gave her quality of life back. Now he's working toward his Illinois PT license — alongside his wife Rimsha, also a physical therapist doing the same.Nothing beats watching a patient progress, he'll tell you — and his superpower is staying calm when everyone else would panic. Off the clock: golf, gaming, and a well-earned BBQ.
About Olivia Betley
If you've been set up on traction lately, chances are Olivia was the one cheering you through it — and yes, cheering comes naturally. She's a varsity cheerleader, a big sister to two younger brothers, and the proud best friend of one very spoiled dog.LC is Olivia's very first job, and we couldn't be prouder to be her starting line. She found us the way the best people always arrive — through a friend — and stayed because she loves watching patients get stronger week after week. Ask her about her goals: straight A's, a big ACT score, and living proof that when you set your mind on something, you go get it. That's what Living Courageously means to her.
About Gabija Radcliffe
Gabija grew up inside the LC story — her dad is Doc himself, the founder of LC Chiropractic. But don't mistake this for a job she inherited: the chiropractic world has pulled at her since she was little, and she's watched friend after friend get their health turned around here — less sick, less tired, and finally as energetic as a teenager should be.One of a family of seven siblings (plus eight dogs — yes, eight), Gabija's favorite part of the day is talking and joking with patients until she completely forgets to check the clock. To her, Living Courageously means refusing to be afraid — being happy, joyful, and spending your time with the people you love. She's practiced it too: she went back to Lithuanian school after years away, knowing she'd be starting behind, and did it anyway. Right now she's chasing big ACT and SAT scores with big colleges in mind. Off the clock: basketball, friends and family, traveling — and a lifelong plan to someday own a ferret and a monkey. Ask her about it.
